In our time, French literature was very popular. We read Honoré de Balzac, Guy de Maupassant, Françoise Sagan, François Mauriac... And we loved them.

I've been living in Stockholm for almost 35 years. I read here too, but French literature isn't as popular as English and American. That's why every time I come to Bulgaria, I buy books by authors unknown in Sweden. That's how I came across 3 books by Jean-Luc Bannalec. Crime novels that completely captivated me. And I immediately wanted to see Brittany, to feel the sun and the wind, to climb the coastal cliffs, and to try Breton delicacies.

Everything was described so vividly, as if I were there. And I decided. I will go. Now I had to convince my husband, who drives and loves to be in Bulgaria every summer, meeting up with friends. When I told him that in the summer of 2020 we would travel to Brittany, he thought it was another idea that wouldn't come to fruition... But I had already decided, and nothing could make me change my mind. A goat's horn - once it decides something, nothing can stop it! I shared with 2 friends, and they wanted to come with us. And it began: planning the destinations, the driving routes, the kilometers, and the accommodation. The pages of travel itineraries were my favorite reading material for the next few weeks. After a lot of work, the trip was planned in detail, and I started to wait...

It has become a tradition to travel almost every year to our beloved France ☺
